TLDR: This show was great for so many reasons. Highly recommend.
Initially my wife started watching it, and it caught my attention in-passing for it's D&D style silly-party adventuring. Eventually I had to stop whatever I was doing and join her.
A collection of my thoughts from it:
I love every character in it and I want to give them a huge hug.
Maybe its just me getting more sus onto such things, but Laios is the most Austic-Coded character I've seen for a while.
I appreciate the self control of not falling for Anime Tropes (eg. limited fan service, respectful gender balance, etc)
Characters were thoughtfully solving problems and trying to come to appropriate conclusions. I die a bit inside each time I see a character do something heroically dumb, and I didn't suffer that here.
Appropriate humour (Marvel movies have made quips in the face of danger are very exhausting).
